this is the jin roh statue by bandai visual/ tohoshoji! according to angelfire.com these were limited in production to 600, and i think that could be correct but i will try to get official figures for production numbers before accepting it as as fact.
this statue is really quite nice! pretty accurate sculpt, base with name of the movie sculpted on, removable backpack and MG42 (which can be held in his right hand) and painted red eyes (unnecessary given its a metalic effect statue, but a nice touch!) all packaged in a wonderfully simple yet artsy presentation box black in colour but with words 'jin roh' in bright metalic red lettering, while the inside has velvet effect material lining. the packaging actually looks much nicer than it sounds and the statue in my opinion looks best displayed in the box.
the one i saw listed on ebay is currently $249.99 (heres the link in case you have more money than sense) but i got mine in an auction on yahoo japan that no-one spotted due to mis-spelt title for under £8 [$12 USD] (gotta love mis-spelt auction titles!) and i have seen these go for about 3000-8000 yen ($35-90 USD)on japan auction sites, so shop around for the best deal if you can.
